Islamic preacher abducted by unknown assailants in occupied Hadhramaut

Unidentified gunmen have on Tuesday kidnapped a Yemeni man in Hadhramaut province.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimony of local sources

According to the local sources in the city of Tarim, the unidentified elements kidnapped a preacher named Taher bin Hussein al-Attas in front of his home as he was returning from dawn prayers in the city of Tarim.

The gunmen took al-Attas to an unknown destination, the sources added The abduction of al-Attas provoked indignation in the Hadhramaut community.

“A little while ago, the scholar Taher bin Hussein al-Attas was kidnapped in front of his house when he was he returning from dawn prayers in Tarim,” Islamic preacher Habib Ali al-Jafri tweeted.

In his statement, al-Jafri held top officials in the Hadi puppet government responsible for the fate of al-Attas.
