The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees managed on Wednesday to foil an infiltration attempt carried out by Saudi-led coalition’s mercenaries towards army’s locations in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official said.
According to the official, the mercenaries tried to advance towards several areas in the southwest of Hays district, but were foiled by the army forces.
On Tuesday, the Saudi-led coalition forces committed 214 violations of the UN-mediated Sweden Agreement in Hodeidah ceasefire, the operations room to monitor the violations reported.
According to the operations room, among the violations were establishing new combat fortifications in Jabaliya area, conducting nine raids of spy aircraft on Faza and Al-Jabaliya areas, and flying of 15 spy drones over Faza, Al-Jabaliya and Al-Jam areas.
The violations also included firing 239 artillery shells in 28 violations, and 161 violations with various machine-gun bullets.
