Syrian member of parliament and former captive of the Zionist entity, Midhat Saleh al-Saleh, has been martyred in a Zionist attack on his hometown of Ein al-Tina.
Salah was first arrested in 1983 while trying to cross the ceasefire line between Syria and Israel. Salah was later released but re-arrested in 1985 for involvement in activities against the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights, and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
After his release on 25 February 1997, he returned to Syria, where he served as a member of parliament as member of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party.
The Zionist entity regularly carries out illegal airstrikes on Syrian territory, using the illegally occupied Golan Heights as a base of operations. Just recently, Zionist planes carried out a bombing run on Palmyra province, killing a Syrian soldier.
