The Secretary-General of the Lebanese movement Hezbollah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, had on Friday called for a ceasefire in Yemen.
This came in his televised speech during a celebration held by Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday anniversary and Islamic Unity Week.
Nasrallah considered that any continuation of the siege on Yemen would mean the continuation of the war.
He stressed that “the international community, instead of condemning the victims in this country, should listen to the popular will and end the war and the siege.”
Sayyid Nasrallah said: “From the beginning, we have taken a position on the Yemeni file, and we said that this is an oppressed and aggressed people.”
He also called for assuming responsibility towards occupied Palestine and strengthening Islamic unity.
