The Yemeni army, backed by tribesmen of Ma’rib province, have on Friday made rapid military advance in Jabal Murad district, south of Ma’rib.
Informed sources reported that the army and the Popular Committees, along with the free tribes of Jabal Murad, managed during the past hours to liberate Naja area and make incursion to the north, after encircling the mountain areas from most directions.
The sources pointed out that the army forces were able to cut off the Saudi-led coalition forces’ supply lines in most areas of Jabal Murad, which the coalition had turned into military barracks and a battlefield.
The army forces launched a series of strikes with various types of weapons on the coalition sites, which left a number of dead and wounded, including military leader Ali bin Abdulhadi al-Qibli and his companions, according to the sources.
Moreover, the Yemeni army forces imposed their control over the most important camps located within the so-called “third military region” of the Saudi-led coalition forces on the Ma’rib front.
Field sources confirmed that the army and the Popular Committees, along with fighters from the tribes of Ma’rib, had taken control of all the sites of the 26th Mica Brigade, which was led by the commander of Bayhan axis of the coalition, Mufreh Buhaibah, in Al-Jubah area.

The army took control of the area after violent confrontations, in which the coalition militants incurred heavy human and material losses, according to the sources.
During the past hours, the army purged Naja area of the coalition’s fighters, after tightening its grip on the al-Khashina camp and al-Maghra Mountains.
