Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e has announced on Wednesday the liberation of the whole of territory of the districts of al-Jubah and Jabal Murad in Ma’rib province.
The spokesman said in a news statement the second phrase of military operation, carried out by the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, has led to liberation of the two districts.
Yahya Sare’e explained that the operation resulted in heavy casualties in the ranks of the coalition forces and its mercenaries.
The spokesman praised the great role of the tribes of Ma’rib in supporting the operation and their great contribution to defeating the coalition.
Sare’e called on the fighters deceived by the coalition in the city of Ma’rib to immediately stop hostilities and take advantage of the amnesty opportunity granted to them.
He called on all citizens in the city of Ma’rib to rest assured, emphasising that the Armed Forces would work to secure them and protect their properties.
The spokesman urged all the free people of Yemen to be “fully prepared to liberate the rest of Yemen’s land, until freedom and independence are achieved.”
