The Yemeni army and Popular Committees have managed on Monday to liberate a number of significant areas on the outskirts of al-Jubah district, adjacent to the city of Ma’rib, from the southern and southwestern side.
Field sources revealed this afternoon that the areas liberated included al-Yara, al-Sawad and al-Hujaira. In addition, agreements were made with local tribes to evacuate a number of camps that were used by the Saudi-led coalition forces.
The sources pointed out that the recent progress during the past 24 hours resulted in a confluence of two tracks of the advance of Yemeni army forces, from the direction of Sirwah and from the southwest of Ma’rib.
