Kuwait’s government on Monday submitted its resignation to the ruling emir, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad, state news agency KUNA reported,
This is the second government formation to submit its resignation to Sheikh Nawaf since he assumed the reins of government.
At the beginning of this year, the government of Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah submitted its resignation after only 28 days, thus becoming the second shortest government in the history of Kuwait.
The shortest government in the history of political life in Kuwait was the fourth government headed by Sheikh Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, which was formed in 1965 for a period of only 23 days.
