The revolutionary government of Yemen has been trying for years to engage in closer diplomatic contacts with the international community, in order to amongst other things achieve recognition of the National Salvation Government in Sana’a as the legitimate government of Yemen.
Officially, only Syria and Iran recognise the Sana’a government, but there are reports that several countries around the world are starting to accept the reality that the National Salvation Government has the best claim to rulership over Yemen.
