Air traffic in Saudi Arabia temporarily suspended due to Yemeni retaliation strikes

Air traffic at Saudi airports in the southern regions has been suspended, including in the Jizan and Abha airports, following attacks by Yemeni forces.

Saudi-led coalition claimed that its forces intercepted three drones trying to target areas in the south of the kingdom, while air traffic monitoring sites revealed that flights at Jizan and Abha airports had been suspended and routes had been diverted to alternative airports.

The Yemeni retaliatory operation follows an escalation of Saudi-UAE coalition’ airstrikes on a number of Yemeni provinces.

On Thursday, the Yemeni forces said that the Saudi bombing escalation “will have serious consequences and coalition forces must bear all the consequences.”
