At least five dead in terrorist attack in Somali capital

At least five people were killed and 15 others were wounded Thursday in a car bomb blast near a school in the Somali capital of Mogadishu.

“A car bomb exploded, and it was confirmed that five people were killed and 15 wounded, including a number of students,” Agence France-Presse quoted security official Muhammad Abdullah as saying.

The Somali capital and other regions of the country have been witnessing bombings and attacks, most of which are attributed to the al-Shabaab takfiri movement.

Last March, more than 20 people were killed and dozens were injured in another terrorist car bombing in Mogadishu.
