The Yemeni Armed Forces managed on Sunday to thwart a large advance of the Saudi-led coalition forces towards areas of southwest of Ma’rib province.
According to local sources, several coalition militants were killed and wounded, including officers Naji Ali al-Jahmi and Ali Mohammed Dowaisan, in the Al-Zour Front during the attack.
The army foiled the attack waged by the coalition forces towards the areas of Wadi Dhanna and Rawdhat Jahm, inflicting heavy losses on the enemies.
The sources indicated that the failed attack was accompanied by heavy air cover from coalition aircraft.
The failure of the coalition’s advance comes hours after the army forces launched a massive advance towards the positions of coalition forces, southeast of the city of Ma’rib.
