Burial of martyr Abdul-Malik al-Sanabani held in Sana'a

A mass funeral was held in the capital Sana’a, for the Yemeni expatriate Abdul-Malik al-Sanabani, who was murdered by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia in Lahj, southern Yemen.

On Friday, the mourners gathered at the Sha’ab Mosque at al-Sabaeen Square, while al-Sanabani’s coffin was carried on the shoulders of mourners from the mosque to al Dafae cemetery near the presidential house south of the capital Sana’a.

Two weeks ago, al-Sanabani’s family announced the arrival of his body in the capital Sana’a.

In mid-November, the Prosecutor’s Office which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) agreed to release the body of al-Sanabani, after having refused for more than two months.

Al-Sanabani was killed by UAE-backed militias at a security checkpoint in Tur al-Baha district of Lahj province.
