The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces have on Tuesday confirmed that they are ready for “a decisive, rapid and harsh response to any aggression.”
In this context, the Commander of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Muhammad Bagheri said: “At the strategic level, we do not intend to attack anyone, but on the field level, we are ready for a decisive, rapid and harsh response to any aggression, even if it is limited.”
He pointed out that his country’s strategies and objectives in the field of building deterrent force are “based on smart ideas, policies and methods more than relying on missiles.”
“We are developing these capabilities in line with our requirements, as well as with the level and type of perceived threats against the country,” he added.
He said that “the sanctions and pressures have enriched our spirit of resistance and self-confidence, doubled our reliance on our internal capabilities, and intensified the efforts of the country’s defense forces.”
