A Yemeni child was killed while he was returning with his family from Mahrah province, by Saudi-led coalition gunmen in al-Alaman area between Ma’rib and Jawf provinces in eastern Yemen, local sources reported on Sunday.
According to the sources, an armed gang belonging to the coalition intercepted the family of Mazen Tamim Matar in the desert of Al-Alaman and looted their money and personal belongings.
According to the sources, the gunmen furthermore opened fire on the car carrying the family, with one of the bullets hitting Mazen in the back. He was taken to a hospital in Ma’rib city but died if his injuries.
Murders of Yemeni travelers returning from outside Yemen through either Aden airport or the Hadhramaut-Ma’rib road have been happening repeatedly since Saudi-led forces invaded Yemen.
