The Yemeni air defences have on Saturday shot down a spy drone belonging to the Saudi-led coalition in Jawf province, the Yemeni army spokesman said in a statement.
Army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e affirmed that air defences were able to down a US Scan Eagle spy drone, operated by the Saudi Air Force, while it was carrying out hostile missions over the airspace of Al-Yatama area in Khub Washa’af district.

The aircraft was targeted with a suitable weapon, he added.
Air defences have formerly shot down a plane of the same type on December 16th in the airspace of the Wadi Abeida district in Ma’rib province.
