Entirety of Jawf province has been liberated from Saudi control

Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, announced on Sunday the liberation of the entirety of Jawf province.

The spokesman affirmed in a news statement that the Yemeni army forces carried out Operation Fajr al-Sahra, or “Dawn of the Desert”, which led to the liberation of the Al-Yatama area and its surroundings in Jawf.

Sare’e went on to say: “The operation led to the liberation of more than 1,200 square kilometers in the area, and inflicted heavy losses on the Saudi-led coalition and its tools, as well as seizing large quantities of weapons.”

“We are moving to a new stage in the legitimate response to Saudi aggression,” Yahya Sare’e continued, calling on all Yemenis to actively participate in the battle for freedom and independence.

“We will respond to escalation with escalation, and will not hesitate to carry out more qualitative operations during the coming period as part of our legitimate defence of the people and the country,” the Brigadier General said.

He also confirmed that the Armed Forces will announce the details of the latest operation in a press briefing in the coming days.
