Missile attack hits Ataq Airport mere hours after arrival of UAE occupation force

Multiple powerful explosions rocked Ataq Airport in the occupied province of Shabwah on late Tuesday, causing it to catch fire.

Local sources in the city of Ataq confirmed that the explosions came mere hours after Saudi occupation forces had left their positions and handed them over to UAE occupation units.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosions resulted from missiles targeting the coalition operations building at Ataq Airport, soon after the entry of three armoured vehicles carrying Emirati officers.

The attack left  dozens of dead and wounded in the ranks of the UAE forces, eyewitnesses said.

One of the explosions hit the gate of Ataq airport, while another one targeted south of the airport campus and a third explosion hit Camp Al-Alam.

So far, there is no certainty about the perpetrators of the missile strikes, although Shabwah has repeatedly been the scene of infighting between Saudi-led and Emirati-backed mercenary forces.
