At least 27 occupation soldiers killed in new blast in Shabwah

At least 27 Saudi-led coalition militants have been killed and 41 wounded in an explosion in Shabwah province, east of Yemen.

According to local sources, the explosion hit the coalition-run Khamouma camp in Markha area.

A hospital in Ataq city issued a distress call to donate blood for the dozens of wounded who arrived at it during the hours before.

The new explosion comes soon after an earlier attack on Ataq Airport on Monday, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of Emirati officers.

The UAE has recently overthrown the Islah governor of Shabwah, Mohammed Saleh bin Adio, and appointed Sheikh Awad al-Wazir al-Awlaki, who arrived on a Saudi military plane at the airport on Wednesday.
