Dozens of the UAE-funded Al-Amaliqa Brigade forces have been killed or wounded on Saturday, in a friendly fire airstrike incident by Saudi-led coalition warplanes in Shabwah.
This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on the testimonies of military sources.
The military sources confirmed that coalition aircraft targeted several military reinforcement belonging to the Al-Amaliqa’s factions in an area between the two districts of Ain and Bayhan, west of Shabwah province.
According to the sources, a number of UAE-backed forces were killed and injured in the air raids, noting that their military reinforcements had been almost completely exterminated.
The incident comes as confusion mounts in coalition operations rooms, which are reportedly losing control of the battle in Shabwah.
