The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Suleiman Hathalin died of critical wounds he sustained after being deliberately run over by an Israeli police vehicle at the entrance to Umm al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta, about two weeks ago.
Hathalin sustained critical injuries in the head, chest, stomach and hips. He was rushed to a hospital in Al-Khalil (known as Hebron in Hebrew) where he succumbed to his wounds today.
On January 5, Zionist forces attacked Sheikh Hathalin, known as a popular resistance figure in Al-Khalil, as he tried to counter the confiscation of civilian vehicles at the entrance to the Bedouin village of Umm al-Khair.
