Armed confrontations erupted on Tuesday among armed factions of the Saudi-led coalition in the desert areas of Harib district, Ma’rib province.
According to local sources, clashes escalated between the forces of the Islah Party, which is loyal to the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government, and the UAE-funded Al-Amaliqa Brigades in the district.
Tribal sources reported that clashes between the armed faction of Islah and Al-Amaliqa came against the backdrop of Islah’s efforts to control the areas of the outskirts of Harib, while the Al-Amaliqa seeks to tighten its grip within the framework of its plan to secure the districts of western Shabwah.
