Dozens of UAE-backed mercenaries killed by Yemeni forces

Dozens of UAE-backed mercenary forces were killed on Wednesday during fierce battles against the Yemeni Armed Forces on the outskirts of Shabwah province, southern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on the testimonies of military sources.

According to the military sources, more than 35 fighters of the UAE-backed Al-Amaliqa Brigade forces were killed, while dozens more were injured following the battles on the outskirts of the desert between the directorates of Harib and Usaylan.

The sources explained that among the dead were high-ranking field leaders, with the names Yahya al-Muradi, Mohammed Nasser al-Muradi, Ibrahim al-Haramli, Hisham Ali al-Ameri, Rashid Nasser al-Haramli, Salem al-Khader al-Sassi, Abdullah Mohammed al-Nakha’i, Abdul-Rahman Ismail, and Abdul-Rahim Mohammed Saleh being amongst the dead.

Earlier, dozens of UAE-backed militias were killed earlier in a friendly fire incident on the outskirts of the oil-rich province.
