Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, has said that the recent statement issued by the Arab League “is paid off, and does not represent the Arab peoples, or even the Arab regimes.”
The minister told Al-Masirah TV that “the Arab League has lost its legitimacy and value and died in the Arab conscience for the past 40 years,” adding that “no one in our Arab world trusts the League about its statements.”
Minister Sharaf pointed out that the “UAE resorting to a miserable and illegitimate entity such as the Arab League reflects the extent of its bankruptcy and the deadly isolation experienced by the Saudi-led coalition countries.”
“The request to designate an authentic Yemeni party representing the vast majority of the Yemeni people as a terrorist movement is an absurd and miserable step, and reflects stupidity that compounds ignorance of the Yemeni reality.”
Sharaf said that” the grievances of the Yemeni people are now greater than all attempts to obscure and mislead.”
“We express the Yemeni people’s rejection of all attempts to reduce its natural and legitimate right to self-defence,” Minister Sharaf concluded.
