Expo Dubai postpones key event after Yemeni military warnings

The management of Expo 2020 Dubai has announced the postponement of one of its most important activities on Wednesday.

“We regret to inform our visitors that due to emergency circumstances, the Cairokee concert, which was scheduled to be held on January 30 on the jubilee platform at Expo 2020 Dubai, will be postponed,” the management said.

“A new date for the ceremony will be announced soon on our social media,” it added.

This delay comes after a statement made by Yemeni military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e on Tuesday, as a warning to foreign companies and investors in the UAE. In the message, the Yemeni spokesman said that the UAE has become an “unsafe country” for the duration of its involvement in the war against Yemen.
