Saudi occupation detains yet another oil ship bound for Yemen

The Yemeni Petroleum Company’s official spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said on Wednesday that the US-backed Saudi-Emirati coalition detained the ship “UHUD” carrying a quantity (29,974 tons) of diesel, which belongs to a private sector factory, in the international waters.

The coalition forcibly took the ship to offshore Jizan, despite it being inspected and obtaining UN permits, bringing the number of sized fuel ships to eight ships, Al-Mutawakel explained.

The capital Sana’a and the other Yemeni provinces are witnessing a stifling fuel crisis due to the coalition’s seizure of oil ships and preventing their entry into the Hodeidah port, despite obtaining UN permits.
