Large explosions reported in Abu Dhabi as Israeli president visits UAE

Violent explosions have rocked the UAE capital Abu Dhabi around the time that Israel president Isaac Herzog arrived.

Website Flightradar24, which shows real-time commercial aircraft flight tracking information on a map, revealed a complete halt to air traffic over Abu Dhabi Airport in the UAE.

Some websites indicated that air traffic has stopped at Dubai Airport as well. Flights have also been absent on the coasts of the Emirates, according to the data.

On late Sunday, the Yemeni Armed Forces said that they will reveal in the coming hours a large-scale military operation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“An important statement by the Armed Forces to announce a large-scale military operation in the Emirati depth in the coming hours,” the Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e wrote in a post published on his Twitter page on late Sunday.

There were reports of explosions at the Dubai Expo ahead of the Israeli president’s visit as well.
