Emirati military expert blames Saudi-backed militias for coalition defeat in Haradh

An Emirati military expert held the so-called “Happy Yemen Brigades” responsible for the defeat suffered by the Saudi-led coalition forces and their tools in the Haradh front of Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen.

Emirati military expert Khalfan al-Kaabi on Tuesday said that “Any military campaign of Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] forces led by General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar will fail due to administrative and financial corruption and their absence of a combative doctrine.”

Al-Kaabi made it clear that the military unit known as the Happy Yemen Brigades are “doomed to failure, despite all the support provided by Saudi Arabia.”

The coalition forces recently lost a new battle in the Haradh district, at the border of Saudi Arabia. Yemeni army forces were able to confront the coalition’s attacks and take control of new sites in the district, areas which had been in the hands of the coalition forces since June 2018.
