Explosions reported in Ma'rib as battle between rebelling tribes and Saudi occupation continues

Violent explosions have rocked Ma’rib city, early on Sunday, coinciding with the intensification of battles between revolting tribes and mercenary factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in the vicinity of the city.

According to tribal sources, the explosions resounded in separate areas of the city, and some of them occurred inside military camps and barracks.

It was not yet clear who was behind the attack at the moment of news publication.

The city of Ma’rib has been witnessing violent battles since Saturday evening, after the Saudi-led Islah Party factions launched an attack on tribal militants in Al-Damashiqah area.

The city is still officially under Saudi occupation, but Yemeni forces have been closing in on the town for months.
