The Executive Mine Action Centre in Sana’a announced the presence of dangerous radiation as a result of the use of internationally prohibited bombs by the Saudi-led coalition in the Al-Sabah area of Sana’a province.
Director Ali Safra affirmed in a press statement on Thursday that the Ministry of Defence inspected the collection area of bomb remnants in the Al-Sabah area and found dangerous levels of radioactive radiation.
Safra called on Yemeni citizens to stay away from areas targeted by coalition warplanes in Al-Sabaha a week ago.
He pointed out that these bombs were dropped by the coalition in many areas in Hodeidah and Bayda, as well as in the Mestaba area of Hajjah and during the Zionist entity’s bombing of the Ministry of the Interior building in the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday, the center said that the investigations into the crime committed by the coalition, in which they targeted the area for collecting cluster bombs and prohibited weapons in the Al-Masjid area in Al-Sabah on February 18, showed that the coalition had used US-made GUB-31 bombs in targeting the area.
