The military media of the Yemeni Armed Forces has released video footage showing the wreckage of a highly advanced US-made MQ-9 spy aircraft belonging to the coalition, that was shot down by Yemeni air defences over the airspace of Jawf province.
On Friday, Yemeni Army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e confirmed that the air defences managed to bring down an American MQ-9 military drone, operated by United Arab Emirates Air Force, while it was carrying out hostile actions over the airspace of Jawf province.
He said the drone was down by a locally-made surface-to-air missile of a type which has not yet been revealed to the public.
