A member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia was run over by a heavy cargo tanker in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.
Eyewitnesses reported that a dispute arose between the driver of the truck carrying a container of goods and a STC militia member named Ramses Mahfouz Awad, against the background of imposed royalties, which led to a fistfight. The truck driver Mubarak Muhammad Salih al-Naqash, 28, from Amran province, attacked the mercenary soldier after the latter prevented the truck from leaving without paying a large sum of money.
The STC militia has been imposing unfair royalties on truck drivers throughout all military points, on the orders of the militia leadership in Aden, Lahj, Dhalea provinces and other areas.
