Dozens of Saudi-led troops defect to National Salvation Government in Ma'rib

Dozens of Saudi-led coalition officers and soldiers in Ma’rib province have defected from the Saudi-led coalition and joined the ranks of the National Salvation Government, informed sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, about 40 officers and recruits from the coalition’s 310th and 114th Brigades announced their defection from the coalition forces and joined the Sana’a government military forces.

The sources confirmed that the officers and recruits managed to escape from coalition camps in Wadi Abeida, and made their way towards Yemeni positions in al-Jubah directorate.

Several hundreds of Saudi-led recruits in Ma’rib have already defected to the National Salvation Government forces over the past two years,

on January 11, 2021, more than 300 recruits announced their defection from the coalition forces and their accession with Sana’a forces, after handing over all their weapons to the Yemeni forces.
