Former US Marine officer reveals extent of NATO support to Ukrainian neo-Nazi groups

Former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter had revealed that the US army has trained the neo-Nazis in Ukraine, contributing to their extendion into government agencies.

“US, British and Canadian armies trained neo-Nazis affiliated to Azov Battalion in Ukraine, who later seized the power in the country” Ritter said in a meeting with Scottish journalist and political activist George Galloway.

Ritter asserted that foreign military units belonging to the US and the European Union “have visited Ukraine to form extremist nationalist groups, and after that they overthrew the elected legitimate president of the country following policies of violence and intimidation against the population.”

The former officer added that the influence of those Nazi groups in Ukraine has become so malicious that they even threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko when he was reportedly considering recognising the special status of Donbass in 2015.

He went on to say that a similar fate would have befallen to the current president, Volodymyr Zelensky, if he had not joined these groups to the Ukrainian forces and gave them free reign. Zelensky eventually gave in to the Nazi pressure and pursued a hard line and aggressive course towards Donetsk and Lugansk, despite having been elected on an anti-war and pro-diplomacy platform.
