Violent clashes erupted on Thursday between mercenaries of the so-called Amaliqa Brigades as part of a conflict about rewards and revenue in Shabwah province.
Local sources reported that one of the Amaliqa First Brigade recruits shot a company commander in the brigade on Wednesday, killing him and one of his companions.
The sources attributed the shooting of the company commander and his escort to the exclusion of his name from the list of rewards being issued by the Saudi military leadership.
