Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e announced in a press briefing on Monday the outcome of the past seven years of steadfastness and unwavering in face of the US-backed Saudi-led aggression on Yemen.
Yahya Sare’e explained that the Yemeni forces carried out 13,208 military operations,, 6,681 of which were offensives, while 6,527 others confronted and thwarted the enemy’s attacks.
“The most important military operations we have carried out in the depth of the coalition countries were operations of the Balance of Deterrence, Yemen Hurricane and Breaking of the Siege,” he said.
Moreover, Sare’e noted that the number of casualties inflicted on the enemy’s side was more than 253,693 either killed or injured, while more than 17,397 various kinds of vehicles were destroyed.
“The Missile Force launched 1,826 operations, 1,237 of which targeted the enemy’s gatherings inside Yemeni territories, while 589 others targeted the Saudi and Emirati depths. The Air Force carried out 2,176 operations inside Yemen and 953 operations in the depths of the countries of aggression.”
Furthermore, the army spokesman confirmed that the air defences shot down 13 warplanes, 10 Apache helicopters, 158 reconnaissance drone aircrafts and 95 spy aircraft, in addition to shooting down 34 US-made armed drones.
“The military engineering units carried out more than 4,414 operations targeting various kinds of vehicles, while anti-armour units conducted 7,412 operations targeting the enemy vehicles, fortifications and assemblies,” he added.
Additionally, “the total number of operations carried out by the artillery unit was 85,634 operations, 1,150 of which were joint operations with drones,” Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said, adding that the number of sniper units’ operations furthermore exceeded 65,000.
Regarding the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes, Yahya Sare’e pointed to that the total number of airstrikes carried out by the enemy Armed Forces was 274,243 strikes, explaining that such criminal attacks caused the martyrdom and injury of tens of thousands of Yemenis, in addition to destroying numerous private and public properties.
