Protest leader in Mahrah mocks Gulf Cooperation Council invitation for Riyadh negotiations

A leader in the sit-in protest committee of Mahrah province on Sunday said the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s call for consultations in Riyadh is merely an attempted justification for Saudi Arabia to evade its responsibility for the destruction and siege of Yemen.

In tweets on his account on Twitter, Sheikh Hamid Zabanot considered the GCC’s call “a failed political maneuver by the Saudi-Emirati occupation, which occupies the ports, islands, ports and airports in Yemen and besieges all the Yemeni people.”

He added that “the one who occupies the islands, airports, ports, and the oil and gas sectors is the Saudi occupation, so how can they invite others to dialogue while they are the problem and the cause of the suffering of all Yemenis?”
