Head of the Yemeni negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, has on Saturday called on the Saudi regime to prove its seriousness in achieving peace in Yemen.
This comes after a unilateral initiative announced this evening by President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Mahdi al-Mashat, in which he ordered a suspension of missile and drone strikes and all military actions towards Saudi Arabia by land, sea and air for the coming three days.

“With positive interaction with the Yemeni initiative announced by President al-Mashat and response by enacting a ceasefire, lifting the siege and expelling foreign forces from Yemen, then peace will come,” Abdulsalam said.
He pointed out that “the talk about political solutions will take place in a calm atmosphere, away from any military or humanitarian pressure.”
