At least five Zionist settlers were killed and two others were critically injured in a shooting on Tuesday in a suburb of Tel Aviv. This marks the third shooting attack in the occupied Palestinian territories within days, according to the Haaretz news website.

At least one of the casualties is a police officer, the website quoted a Zionist police source as saying. Haaretz added that one of the shooters was shot, and that there may be more attackers.

A Zionist police spokesman said that the shooting likely took place in two or three different areas in Bnei Brak. One shooter had reportedly been riding a motorcycle during the attack.

Prime Minister of the Zionist entity Naftali Bennett and security agencies chiefs held consultations in light of the operation, according to the Zionist media, which classified the attack as “more dangerous” than the two operations which occurred in Beersheba and Khdeira.

The Israeli media also reported that the attacker in Bani Brak operation was a person named Diyaa Hamarsheh, a member of Palestinian political party Fatah who previously served time in prison
