Israeli military aircraft reported at UAE-occupied Yemeni island

Local sources revealed on Monday that the UAE has sent military aircraft believed to belong to the Israeli navy to the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra.

According to the sources, the UAE sent about 8 military helicopters during the past two days to the joint Abdul-Kuri base that it shares with the Zionist entity, and which it established during the past months.

The sources confirmed that the UAE is about to send dozens of military equipment and machinery to the base in Abdul-Kuri to control maritime navigation in the Indian Ocean.

Abdul-Kuri Island is considered one of the most important Yemeni islands located near the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Aden. It contains 6 oil sectors and is administratively affiliated with Socotra. The UAE built a military base here last November under the supervision of experts from the Israeli navy.

Abdul-Kuri Island is located 120 kilometers from the Socotra Island, has a total area of 133 square kilometers, and is considered the second most important island in the Socotra archipelago.
