Civilian killed in Hodeidah landmine explosion

A civilian was killed on Sunday in an explosion of landmine left behind by Saudi-led coalition factions in Hodeidah province, western Yemen.

According to the Executive Mine Action Centre, a civilian was killed as a result of a landmine explosion left over from coalition factions in al-Faza area of al-Tuhita directorate.

The Center confirmed that the death toll from the coalition’s remnants of landmines and cluster bombs in Hodeidah has risen to 259 since the beginning of this year alone.

It called on the United Nations to bring in necessary detection devices to clear remnants of war, which it has been demanding for years.
