UAE-backed mercenaries attack Yemenis from Taiz province in Aden

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias have attacked a citizen originally from Taiz in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

Local sources said Monday that a group of the STC militias aboard a military pickup vehicle belonging to the so-called Security Belt intercepted a citizen named Ayban Hael when he was returning from Saudi Arabia.

The mercenaries took him to an unknown area, physically attecked him and looted his money, gold, gifts and clothes .

This crime comes less than 24 hours after an armed gang near the camps of the STC in Tur Al-Bahah district intercepted a man called Mohammed Abdullah al-Khalidi while he was returning from Saudi Arabia, and looted the contents of his car and everything in his possession.

Crimes against people from Taiz province, and against people from northern Yemen in general, are rampant in coalition-occupied areas of southern Yemen.
