Israeli occupation forces have yet again stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning, for the fourth day in a row, in order to secure mass incursions by Zionist settlers called up by so-called “Temple Groups”.
The occupation forces began evacuating Al-Aqsa courtyards, pushing out Palestinian residents and Muslim worshippers, erecting roadblocks and preventing citizens from reaching the mosque.
Subsequently, illegal Zionist settlers broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Moroccan Gate in groups, carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in its squares, under strict protection of occupation police.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces erected checkpoints and roadblocks at the entrances to al-Aqsa and prevented access to all Palestinians.
The Zionist forces furthermore besieged a number of worshippers inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri said, an Islamic preacher in the mosque, said: “We fear that the occupation will allow settlers to enter with sacrificial offerings on Thursday.”
Sabri said that the Zionist occupation government meets the settlers’ demands because it is a fragile government.
On the other hand, the Spokesman for the Israeli Prime Minister said that the allegations about Jewish settlers bringing sacrifices into the Al-Aqsa Mosque were “totally false and baseless.”
Radical Zionist organisations such as the Temple Groups have been calling for the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque for decades, demanding the eradication of the Islamic sanctity and the construction of a Jewish temple in its location.
