Several Al-Qaeda members escaped Hadhramaut prison under suspicious circumstances

Media sources in Yemen’s eastern province of Hadhramaut have reported a new incident of leaders belonging to the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation being let out of Seiyun Central Prison.

Sabri Bin Makhashen, editor-in-chief of Al-Moharir newspaper, confirmed in a tweet that among the terrorist leaders who escaped from Central Prison of Seiyun during the early hours of Sunday, was terrorist Majid Hassan Mabrouk al-Shami.

In mid-April, 10 al-Qaeda members detained in a prison in the city of Seiyun were smuggled out.

According to press sources, a number of the terrorist organisation’s emirs fleeing the  Seiyun prison arrived under a heavy protection at the  headquarters of  the so-called Third Military Region in Ma’rib.

The Saudi-led coalition has made extensive use of Al-Qaeda terrorists for its war against the National Salvation Government of Yemen over the past years.
