Dozens of Palestinians wounded in Zionist attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Thursday morning as the Israeli occupation forces attacked them in and nearby the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that the occupation forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and opened fire with rubber bullets and gas canisters at the Islamic worshippers, injuring dozens of them and forcing them to leave the mosque. Subsequently, groups of Zionist settlers arrived under heavy protection, carrying out provocative tours in the courtyards of the Mosque.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces closed the entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque preventing Palestinians from entering it, and assaulted journalists to prevent them from conveying an image about the crimes and violations of the occupation and its settlers against the Palestinians and the sacred Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Zionist extremists and colonial settlers have been calling for the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam, and the construction of a Jewish temple on its location. Recently, the Zionist entity government has been increasingly supporting these plans of annihilation.
