At least 5 civilians killed in explosive attack on Aden fish market

At least five citizens were killed and more than 35 others were injured, including children, in an initial toll as a result of a violent explosion that hit a fish market in the center of the port city of Aden, medical sources said on Thursday.

According to the sources, unidentified gunmen planted an explosive in a garbage barrel in the fish market of Sheikh Othman district, Aden, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia.

It has not yet been revealed who is behind this terrorist act.

The city of Aden has witnessed security chaos and terrorist acts since the return of the Riyadh-backed Presidential Council, amid accusations of conspiracy against the southern provinces of Yemen.
