President Mahdi al-Mashat condemns Saudi use of spy planes during truce

President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, has on Saturday condemned the practices of the aggression countries in sending spy planes to the airspace of the capital, Sana’a and a number of provinces.

The President considered this a blatant violation of the declared UN armistice and an act of aggression that completely contradicts their claims of keenness on peace.

This came during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Defence and Security Affairs, Lieutenant-General Jalal al-Rowishan, Minister of Defence Major General Mohammed Nasser al-Atifi, and Chief of the General Staff Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari.

President al-Mashat stressed the necessity of the aggression countries’ commitment to the provisions of the armistice and the implementation of all its provisions, leading to more humanitarian and economic remedies to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that in the event that the aggression countries did not fulfill their commitment to the armistice, the armed and security forces are ready to carry out their duty.

At the meeting, President al-Mashat urged caring for the wounded, the families of the martyrs and the captives.
