Yemeni man manages to save 15 children trapped down a well

A young Yemeni man was honoured on Sunday after he succeeded in his personal efforts to rescue 15 children out of the 18 who fell into a well in Bayda province, central Yemen.

The young man, Hussein Sadeem, made a tunnel reportedly even longer than the one used by the Moroccan government months ago in an attempt to save the child Rayan who had fallen into a well. His personal efforts managed to rescue 15 children who had fallen during an attempt to rescue others trapped in a well in the city of Rada’a.

The image of Hussein Sadeem has been widely circulated on social media, amid calls on government agencies to honour him for this humanitarian initiative.
