Violent clashes erupted on Monday between Shabwah tribes and Saudi-led coalition forces recruits from the Al-Hassan tribes in Abidah valley southeast of Ma’rib city, tribal sources said.
The clashes broke out against the background of the killing of a recruit in Shabwah by Al-Qaeda.
The sources pointed out that the tribes were able to cut the main lines between Abidah valley and the city of Ma’rib, as well as the international line linking the city and Al-Abr area and the border crossing in Al-Wadeah.
The clashes resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides, the sources added.
