Defence Minister: Yemen is ready to face any Saudi aggression

Yemeni Defence Minister Mohamed al-Atifi said the Yemeni Armed Forces are fully prepared and ready for confronting any military options from the Saudi coalition’s side.

Condemning the violations of the UN-declared ceasefire by the Saudi coalition, al-Atifi stated, “We tell the countries of aggression that what they are dreaming of will not come true, and their future will be more painful than their past.”

“We are fully prepared for combat in the face of any emergency, and we are ready for all military options,” he added.

The Minister of Defence indicated that “the Yemeni armed forces are committed to the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, with endurance, patience and steadfastness on the declared position.”

Al-Atifi explained that the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Presidency of the General Staff, with its various leadership levels and its affiliated bodies and regions, have prepared the required equipment for qualitative military construction, modernisation and development of integrated military, industrial and tactical means and methods.

He praised “the steadfastness of the heroes of the army, Popular Committees and the free tribesmen who are facing the tyrants of the age and the enemies of the nation and peace, defending the Yemeni people and its legitimate right to build their present and future generations in a free, independent, strong and united Yemen away from foreign tutelage and domination.”
